Corona Virus - Health & Safety Advice
13th March 2020
Coronavirus Update from Health and Safety Team
Dear Parents / Carers
Today I have received the following email from our Health and Safety advisor in Herefordshire :
“You may have seen the announcement last evening from the Prime Minister and CMO. This will translate to the following suggestion :
Further to the advice provided at 5pm on 12th March 2020 we urge all parents to be clear on the following:
- If your child has a continuous cough and/or a temperature of 37.5C or higher, you must keep your child at home for a period of 7 days from the time that these symptoms are noticed.
- At the end of that 7 day period, pupils can return to school, if they are feeling better e.g. no temperature. We would recommend the use of either traditional 'under the tongue' or digital forehead or ear thermometers, rather than the strip-type thermometers which are not accurate enough in these precise circumstances.

We will continue to put the daily Government updates onto our websites as soon as they become available.
